Experienced Financial Advisory Services Associate

Key responsibilities:

The experienced associate would perform and/or oversee the following functions:

• Collection and structuring of client company’s relevant financial and operational data;
• Preliminary analysis of the client company’s financial and operational performance;
• Business and/or property valuation;
• Financial modeling/forecasting;
• Financial due diligence and other agreed-upon procedures;
• Review of internal controls and business processes;
• Preparing business/asset valuation reports;
• Preparing financial modeling/due diligence reports, investment memorandums;
• Carrying out industry and business research;
• Participating in client meetings or conference calls
• Direct junior staff.

Job Requirements:

The selected FAS Associate shall possess the following knowledge/experience:

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in business/asset valuation, preparation of financial models, budgeting/forecasting, business process optimization;
• Practical experience in preparing business/asset valuation, financial modeling and due diligence reports in English and Azerbaijani languages; Russian language is a plus;
• Experience in working with, and a thorough understanding of numerical data and conducting quantitative analyses related to company valuations, implementation of financial models, and comparative and pro forma analyses;
• Ability to critically assess information received from client’s personnel throughout the advisory engagement, filtering out data and documentation relevant to current task;
• Ability to substantiate conclusion reached based on analysis, common sense and client documentation;
• Efficiency in preparation of electronic working papers supporting conclusions reached;
• Strong skills in understanding financial statements and analysis;
• Ability to exercise professional judgment on engagements by providing proactive solutions and recommendations;
• Ability to independent decision making on tactical level;
• Strong sense of responsibility over tasks assigned, goal-orientation;
• Ability to control and multitask on more than one engagement at a time;
• High motivation, desiring autonomy and empowerment to manage self and team;
• Ability to work at a demanding schedule;
• Fluent English, Azerbaijani and Russian and strong writing skills;
• Proficient MS Office package user.
