Job title: Senior Lawyer

Department: Legal

Job duties:

• Drafting, review and revision of various legal documents;
• Legal consulting in the field of civil, corporate, labor legislation and other legislation;
• Registration of legal entities (LLC, JV, etc.),  representative/branch offices of foreign legal entities in Azerbaijan;
• Registration of legal entities, representative/branch offices of foreign legal entities in Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, other CIS countries;
• Registration of businesses in offshore zones (BVI, Cayman Islands, Jebel Ali Free zone, etc.);
• Liquidation of legal entities,  representative/branch offices of foreign legal entities  in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, other CIS countries;
• Registration of trademarks, patents, etc.;
• Liaison with the state authorities (Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, State Social Protection Fund, Ministry of Emergency Situations,  Ministry of Taxes, State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents, etc.) in the course of providing legal advice to clients;
• Identification and assessment of risks under Company business contracts as well as during the course of negotiations with any contract party;
• Daily legal support inside the Company;
• Managing archiving of existing contracts and other legal documents duly reflecting the company’s business activity;
• Weekly update on new legislative acts (including additions/amendments made to the existing legislation) adopted  (info received from newspapers, legal acts data base, state authorities);
• Execution of other legal instructions given by the Head of the Company;
• Coordination of at least 2 lawyers’ work;
• Translation of legal documents from English into Azeri and vice versa when required.

Requirements:

Education: University degree in law. Master degree from international institute, mainly from EU countries or USA is an asset.
Work experience: At least 5 years of work experience as a Lawyer.Strong knowledge of local legislation and institutional system of Azerbaijan. Good knowledge of EU Directives, Regulations.
Languages: Candidate should have excellent Azeri, Russian and English language skills 
Other:Managerial skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
