Caspian Drilling Company Ltd has an immediate vacancy for the following position in its New Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig. Compensation, benefits and the opportunity for career development are as would be expected from an international drilling services provider.

JOB TITLE:   Driller for the New Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig

EMPLOYER:  Caspian Drilling Company Ltd.

DUTY STATION:  Azerbaijan

DEADLINE:  26.06.2015

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Operates and monitors all drilling systems and equipment.
• Supervises all drill crew work activities.
• Supervises all drilling operations and activities while on tour.
• Reviews with the Toolpusher and client various aspects of the well program and its requirements.
• Pre-plans the equipment, materials and proper sequence of constructing the well from start to finish and obtains approvals of plan from Toolpusher and client.
• Conducts all required safety and work related meetings with his crew, to outline the details of the well program and prepares each work team member for the tasks ahead.
• Assists and supervises all drill crew members in performing maintenance and equipment safety checks on the drilling system as needed prior to next operational phase.
• Documents all down hole equipment used in drilling the well on continuous basis.
• Understanding of well control procedures, i.e., detection, control and recovery.
• Conduct and participate in all the required emergency and technical drills.
• Training all drill crew to recognize the signs of abnormal well conditions in their own working areas.
• If emergency conditions develop on the rig floor or drilling related area: Suspend drilling operations and contact Senior Drilling Supervisor and/or Offshore Installation Manager (O.I.M.)
• Provide assistance to other departments as necessary while waiting on weather.
• Must have basic knowledge of various functions of the other rig departments for safe and efficient interface of job duties.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIECE:

• Possess current Well Control (Supervisor Level) certificate (IWCF/WELLCAP)
• 3-5 year experience as driller in a floater.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:

MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook

LANGUAGES:

English, Azerbaijani, Russian
