JOB TITLE:   Assistant Driller for the Semi-Submersible Drilling Rig

EMPLOYER:  Caspian Drilling Company Ltd.

DUTY STATION:  Azerbaijan

DEADLINE:  26.06.2015

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Follows and implements all CDC Procedures and Standards as stipulated in CDC Quality Management System (Q.M.S.) without deviations.
• Operates and monitors all drilling systems and equipment, assists in drill crew work activities.
• Manages appropriate drilling documentation for the process of drilling.
• Prepare the BHA and all required equipment and materials for drilling operations.
• Assisting the Subsea Engineer in testing Subsea BOP.
• Participates in and contributes to a pre-spud meeting with all drill crewmembers to outline the details of the well program.
• Performing maintenance and equipment safety checks for drilling system as needed.
• Relive the driller in Performing all other duties and functions as directed by the driller as and when needed.
• Supervising the drill crew in making connections and running various tools and equipment necessary to drill the well bore as per client drilling program.
• Assists in cementing operations and supervises the drill crew.
• Capable of monitoring various drilling instruments.
• Be able to recognize the signs of a well kick or blow out.
• Capable of conducting all the required well control drills regularly.
• Performing maintenance and preparing for the next phase of the drilling program.
• Completing drilling logs and paperwork as required.
• Resolving abnormal well conditions as directed by Senior Drilling Supervisor in concert with client representative.
• Securing the rig floor as much as possible without endangering any life.
• Assist the emergency area with the drilling team as directed by the Senior Drilling Supervisor and/or O.I.M.
• Assist in supervising abandon ship procedures.
• Providing assistance to other departments as necessary while waiting on weather.
• Participating and/or conducting all the safety, pre tour, tool box talk with the drilling crew.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIECE:

• 2-3 year experience as an AD on floater rigs.
• Possess valid well control certificate (fundamental level)

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE:

MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook

LANGUAGES:

English, Azerbaijani, Russian
