Vacancy: “AURA” SPA Manager

Job Summary

This position will provide leadership, support, direction and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa; including, but not limited to staff training, retail, group spa bookings, providing adequate staffing levels, managing staff to ensure proper coverage, establishing and maintaining high level of customer service based on Excelsior Hotel & Spa Baku guiding principles and culture. Responsible for financial management’s duties including: budgeting, forecasting, payroll and scheduling, as well as product inventory and ordering.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Must have a working understanding of hotel culture and vision.
•   Must be able to handle pressure situations with ease.
•   Responsible for reviewing daily forecasts and budget as well as reviewing daily sales to be sure to be in align with projected revenues.
•   Implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve departmental financial budgeting goals and expectations.
•   Participates in daily meetings and functions.
•   Responsible for timeliness of administrative duties and group contracts.
•   Ensuring cleanliness of public fitness & spa areas to include spa retail, treatment rooms, storage areas and product storage.
•   Responsible for coordination and execution of fitness & Spa packages.
•   Coordinates all group activity regarding fitness & spa to include booking spa appointments, follow-up with group contact, and billing
•   Interview and select excellent staff to create a leading service and treatment presentation.
•   Scheduling of spa associates, performance evaluations and disciplinary procedures.
•   Direct, train and maintain high level of job satisfaction/morale/teamwork among associates in their respective areas of responsibility;
•   Create and follow all financial planning
•   Assist other areas in a supervisory way as needed.
•   Responsible for determining marketing strategies based on sales activity
•   Responsible for updating and creating Spa menu.
•   Seeks continued self-development opportunities.
•   Display and be a model for managerial etiquette.
•   Ensures that associates meet all department dress & grooming standards.
•   Provide continual direction and training regarding standards for guest service, treatment rooms and product knowledge.
•   Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prefer 2 - 3 years of experience in Spa Management or hospitality industry;
• Retail purchasing and inventory knowledge;
• Prefer experience with revenue and expense management
• Prefer Spa Soft experience
• Strong customer service orientation/member and guest relation’s skills;
• Attention to detail and high standards of quality and cleanliness;
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Interpersonal, communication and listening skills with both external and internal customers.
