About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Human Resources to join the Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel team. The Director of Human Resources will deliver strategic, added value Human Resources interventions at Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel, and act as a business partner to ensure the achievement of the hotel objectives and colleague engagement levels

The duties of the Director of Human Resources will include:

• Providing leadership, direction and support to the HR team in order to increase knowledge, skills set and share best practice.
• Developing and driving the SBU HR Strategy in line with Regional HR direction and monitoring its execution to ensure achievement of the objectives.
• Driving the continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities and building leadership capability through the senior and middle management teams.
• Ensuring the free-flow of two-way communication between SBU HR and Regional HR and internal communications are coordinated to colleagues receive relevant and timely messages in an appropriate style and medium.
• Planning and deploying the annual HR budget and capex process and ensuring the P&L’s are well managed and monitored.
• Proposing changes to organisational structures using best practice organisational development principles to provide the most appropriate structure to support future growth and flexible labour.
• Consulting on workforce planning activities in order to optimise staffing levels, productivity and service standards in the most cost effective manner .
• Regularly analysing and reviewing HR statistics to identify trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources adjusted accordingly .
• Managing senior management and key HOD appointments ensuring timely and effective recruitment and on-boarding.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of companywide Human Resources policies, procedures and practices in accordance with the company objectives.
• Ensuring Colleague Opinion Survey results are communicated, analysed and action plans are developed and reviewed on a regular basis to improve colleagues’ working and living conditions.
• Ensuring Colleague Consultative Committee function is deployed effectively.
• Advising and coaching management on employee relations and performance management issues.
• Ensuring all activities in performance management process are effectively executed so that colleagues have the opportunity to participate, receive feedback and given opportunities to develop.
• Coordinating and driving talent management process in order to ensure talent management is fully embraced and the benefits fully realised.
• Regularly coaching, mentoring and supporting senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, developing and maintaining effective relationships and encouraging retention.
• Planning, driving and deploying colleague recognition, reward and engagement activities.
• Ensuring training programmes and development opportunities are deployed at a consistently high standard, aligned with business needs and Jumeirah culture.
• Ensuring consistent standard of customer service, health & safety, good quality, nutritious and varied menus across two colleague dining facilities.

About You:

In order to be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized degree or qualification in Human Resources Management or in a similar discipline.
It is essential that you have a minimum of five years’ experience in Generalist Human Resources role wherein a minimum of two years gained in supervising or managing a team and working within the hospitality industry.
In addition, you must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. You should have excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) with highly effective communication and influencing skills, showcasing evidence of inspirational leadership with strong business acumen. It is also essential that you are proficient in the Azeri and/or Russian language.
