Role synopsis

Senior Well Integrity Engineer is responsible to conform to BP Group Standards, Practices, Guides and the AGTR Well Integrity Management Strategy (WIMS). The role is the single point of contact for Well Integrity conformance across the Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey Region (AGTR). The role interfaces with Base Management, Reservoir Development, Production Operations and Wells.

Key accountabilities 

Accountabilities include but are not limited to;

• Lead Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) reviews and revisions
• Routine Annulus Pressure Monitoring and Interpretation
• Identify/Investigate/Interpret anomalous annulus pressure trends
• Perform Safe Operating Limit calculations
• Review/Interpret/Follow-up on Well Integrity Maintenance, Testing, and Inspection results and inform Stakeholders
• Prepare Statement of Requirements for Diagnostics or Repair
• Create and Distribute Monthly Well Integrity Status Reports
• Update Information on Well Integrity in Digital Well File
• Develop, implement and facilitate a fit for purpose risk assessment process on wells with sustained casing pressure through use of HAZard IDentifaction (HAZID), HAZard Operability (HAZOP), Levels Of Protection Analysis (LOPRA), Quantified Risk Assessment (QRA) or other risk assessment techniques as necessary. The risk assessment process will be applied across Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey Region (AGTR).
• Identify Triggers and Develop Action Plans to mitigate risks
• Develop and implement Communication Plans, Risk Assessment results and techniques with AGTR personnel.
• Coach and Train AGTR Nationals on Risk Assessment techniques and results for implementation into Well Integrity Standards and Processes

Essential Education

• Engineering Degree Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent

Essential experience and job requirements 

• Minimum 15 years of global oil & gas experience with emphasis on Drilling Engineering, Well Intervention, Well Integrity and field operations
• Demonstrable experience managing/leading risk assessments.
• Working knowledge of computer programs and systems Word, Excel, Power point
• Fluent written, spoken and reading English
• Valid Well Interventions Pressure Control certification

Desirable criteria & qualifications

• Valid Drilling Well Control Certification e.g. International Well Control Forum (IWCF), International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) Well CAP
• Drilling Engineering Design, Planning and Operational experience
• Offshore Well Integrity Experience including supervision.
