Role Overview: Title Handling Documentation
- Document Preparation:
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of title documents for vehicles being purchased, sold, or transferred.
- Verification:
- Verify the authenticity of titles, including checking for liens, ownership, and any discrepancies.
- Coordination:
- Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., sales, logistics, legal) to collect and manage all necessary documentation associated with titles.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all title documentation complies with local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Processing:
- Process title applications and transfers, including submitting necessary forms to the appropriate government bodies.
- Client Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding title status, requirements, and any issues that may arise during the process.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized records of all title documents, transactions, and communications for future reference and auditing purposes.
- Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve any issues related to titles, including lost titles, discrepancies in documentation, and delays.
- Coordination with Authorities:
- Work with DMV or other regulatory authorities to ensure smooth processing of title transactions.
- Training and Guidance:
- Train and guide team members or clients on proper title handling procedures and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- Education:
- A degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in title handling, legal documentation, or a similar role.
- Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and authorities.
- Knowledge of Regulations:
- Familiarity with local and state title regulations and procedures.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Organizational Skills:
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple titles and documents simultaneously.
This role is critical for ensuring that all transactions involving vehicle titles are handled correctly, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable laws, thereby minimizing risks for the organization and its clients.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, preferably in service provider side.
- Proficiency in English C1 (spoken and written).
- Experience with ERP systems and logistics management software is preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
