TITLE: Science Coordinator
JOB DIMENSIONS:
A. Supervision Received
Reports directly to Science Lead.
Receives technical and functional guidance from the Science Lead and Deputy Science Lead.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1. Regular visits to CBEP-engaged laboratory sites for the purposes of mentoring and troubleshooting facility and laboratory operations
2. Regular reporting of activities
3. Monitoring, reporting, and working with other staff members on facility and equipment maintenance issues and facility inventory levels
4. Provide advisory support to the laboratory staff to ensure adherence to SOPs and established guidelines
5. Review and support the veterinary and human health field and laboratory training programs
6. Provide liaison among engaged human and veterinary sites and with project management
7. Advisory support to the MOH and SVS in the development and implementation of standards and laws
8. Advisory support in the development and execution of CBEP research projects
9. Participate in the management of supply chain and laboratory inventories
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of English
• Medical, Veterinary or Biology Background
• Good communication and organization skills
• Laboratory experience
• Flexible in seeking and completing work
• Ability to work odd hours or overtime if required;
• Work well independently and as a team member;
• Accurate with reports and deadlines
• Willingness to travel
