This role reports to the Subsea Pipelines, Flowlines and Risers Integrity Manager. The successful applicant will work in Baku, Azerbaijan as resident. Occasional visits to offshore facilities or contractors will be required. Offshore Caspian has become one of the world’s leading hydrocarbon provinces. BP operates both the Shah Deniz (SD) gas field and the Azeri Chirag Gunashli (ACG) oil field. Production from AGT Region is significant (670 mbd from six offshore facilities in ACG and 220 mboed from one offshore facility in SD). Currently all production occurs from dry trees. In future, a significant expansion of Shah Deniz (Phase 2) will introduce significant additional operational complexity with numerous subsea wells, flowlines and risers. It will be necessary to develop in-country Flow Assurance expertise in preparation for Shah Deniz Phase 2.
