JOB TITLE: Drilling Equipment and Materials Specialist Auditor        

LOCATION:             AZERBAIJAN

JOB TYPE: 28/28 or 14/14

KCA DEUTAG is one of the largest international drilling operation contractors in the Caspian region, having  a history of over 125 years of drilling and engineering activities across the globe, and undertakes projects in some of the most harsh and demanding environments in the world.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (but not be limited to):

Assist Project Leader RSA to develop and implement a global concept for a highly efficient/effective global Supply Chain Organization; Implement strategic direction settings for the supply chain in a large, complex and multi-disciplinary organization; Support the GSM strategic plan; propose improvements and at all times follow the GSM principles of KCAD; A general commitment to continuous improvement of GSM operations by benchmarking KCAD practice and process technologies against industry peers; Provide an optimized Materials Management, e.g. implement standard routines; Ensure a positive safety culture is maintained and successfully followed within areas of responsibility; Ensure all relevant safety tools are in use and that the employees understand and participate in all parts; Develop and implement a highly effective materials management organization while achieving corporate goals for inventory turnover and secured service levels by keeping inventory at an optimum; Secure the fulfilment of the needs and requirements of the operation in a cost-effective and efficient manner; Maintain and secure accuracy of the stock management system (SAP) parameters, attributes, inventory records and delivery information; Support the development of a global stocking concept to reduce lead times while identifying potentials and opportunities to achieve significant savings; Support cross-functional Materials Management projects, lead Warehouse projects in combination with the successful implementation of global, regional and local concepts; Work to improve the flow of goods and information within the Warehouse and Supply Chain consistent with the requirements of a lean environment; Educate, train and support teams in all questions regarding Stock and Warehouse Management; Maintain a high level of communication within the Warehouse Teams, Project Team and the Supply Management Organisation; Support the development and implementation of a common reporting system to measure performance of Warehouse Organisation and ensure that key figures are reported; Guide and control stock takes and provide stock management training; Analyse current supply chain environments and processes at the relevant locations; Audit Warehouse employee’s qualification on the job;  Train and advise SAP usage, e.g. materials management; Meet the required KCAD policies including requirements for DIN EN ISO 9001; Audit Warehouses, Yard and Rig warehouses in respect of supply chain processes and procedures; Review and report the development at the relevant locations in respect of the project definition; Supports Manager in the preparation, improvement and optimisation of business processes; Supports colleagues from other departments (tasks to be discussed and agreed on separately with Manager); Participates in projects (tasks to be discussed and agreed on separately with Manager); Provides support for special duties within the department and organisation as assigned by the Manager.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Sound knowledge and experience in the related fields of Materials Management, Logistics or Warehouse Management in service-oriented businesses;
Proven track record in developing and establishing an optimized warehouse concept, preferably stocking spare, wear parts or equipments within the oilfield environment;
Several years sound experience in the related fields;  
Sound knowledge of Auditing methods and Quality Assurance
Strong knowledge of SAP
Excellent Business English, further languages would be an asset depending on the location of the warehouse. Leadership skills; Objective driven; Capability of working independently, thoroughly, conscientiously and reliably; High level of cost consciousness; Ability to work and deliver under pressure; Open-minded to a challenging, fast growing and ever-changing business; Excellent team-player in a multicultural environment; Good communication skills on all levels internally and externally; Integrity    

Other Special Requirements 

Image & Reputation: Promotion of GSM image and reputation, within the GSM community, for conducting business with 3-rd parties. Promotion of KCAD image and reputation, within the wider KCAD community, for those individuals who interface with 3-rd parties. Risk Management: Promotion of risk analysis and mitigation as an integral tool in GSM operations and, communicating the benefits of risk management to the wider KCAD organisation and to 3-rd parties. Communication: Commitment to continuous communication and feedback with other functional support departments – promoting common goals, effective interfaces and knowledge sharing. Functional Excellence: Commitment to the pursuit of functional excellence (FE) within the GSM function. Coaching and mentoring of GSM personnel in the application of FE initiatives and projects to their area of operation. Communication and promotion of FE achievements to the wider KCAD organisation by formal and informal means. Training and Development: Commitment to the training and development of GSM personnel and providing coaching and mentoring where required.
