At the moment, Polyethylene and Steel Pipe Factory in the city of Sumgait carry out the construction of the project. The main activity of this plant, plastic and steel water pipes for oil and gas production, the panel will consist of the preparation of concrete structures. This project is currently purchased from foreign countries as a result of the implementation of large oil, gas and water pipes have already begun production.
The successful candidates should have:The successful candidates should have:
• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering / Environment Engineering or equivalent, with adequate training in environment protection and monitoring.
• Certified ISO 14000 Lead or Internal Auditor Course and membership in professional
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an environmental management and compliance role within petroleum refineries or petrochemical processing plant, of which four years has been at a senior supervisory level.
• Has environmental impact expertise and the ability to assess and plan the mitigation of negative factors.Working knowledge and understanding of the Azerbaijan HSE legislation.
• Audit/assessment skills using auditing management systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:
• Prepare Environmental and Waste Management Plan
• Prepares the annual environment protection plan and objectives and develops a tracking system to ensure proper fulfilment of the departmental objectives.
• Assists sections and departments to establish individual environmental performance standards.
• Reviews the design of existing facilities, modifications and new projects to ensure that proper design considerations are incorporated to ensure that all environmental aspects have been identified to eliminate pollutants to air, land and water.
• Identifies and agrees appropriate environmental assessment methodologies and develop the scope of work for various environmental studies such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), environmental issues of HAZOP, carbon footprint surveys, green house gasses surveys, sustainability and biodiversity reports, which are required to implement company standards and govermental legislations.
• Plans and organises environmental and waste audits and inspections.
• Production of environmental documents (e.g. philosophies, emissions inventories, ENVID registers, permitting plans, waste management plans, audit reports).
• Conducting environmental studies including pollution prevention studies and BAT demonstration reports, energy efficiency studies, life cycle analysis, air dispersion studies.
• Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office software.
• Full command of English language, written and spoken.
