One of the leading Translation, Interpretation and Event Management companies, KONSIS LLC is looking for a Translation Department Manager
Salary: 700 – 800 AZN
Age: 24 – 45
Position Requirements:
• University degree in translation or other related fields
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Background as written translator for international organizations
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Azeri languages, Russian will be an asset
• Good understanding of translation project lifecycle
• Proficient with common office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat etc.)
• Knowledge of translation memory tools (Trados, MemoQ, etc) desirable
• Marketing skills
• Experience in proofreading and researching product information
• High attention to details, ability to learn quickly
• Strong project management and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
• Managing translation projects
• Negotiating rates with freelance translators and/or agencies
• Liaising with clients and producing project quotations for clients
• Communicate with clients regarding project status, queries from translators, and other issues
• Meeting with potential clients and introducing translation and interpretation services of the company
• Recruiting freelance translators / updating the translator database
• In-house quality control (figures and layout)
• Obtaining, locating, or creating glossaries and reference documents and managing them
• In-house translation, proofreading, editing
