Role synopsis
BP Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region (AGTR) invites qualified professionals to apply to Offshore Installation Manager Network Lead role. The OIM Network Leader role is an onshore based residential assignment with occasional trips to offshore assets.
The intent is to provide a central focal point and additional resource to facilitate the drive for standardisation and Operations Talent Management across AGT offshore operations incorporating Chirag1, West Chirag, Central Azeri, Shah Deniz, West Azeri, East Azeri and Deep water Gunashli Platforms.
The OIMNL role reports through the Shah Deniz AOM however aims to service the ACG, CDWG and SD Operating Areas in equal measure.
Key accountabilities HSE
• Evaluations help how Incidents, production loss events and near misses are reported and develop a process for cross asset learning and assurance.
• Maintain relationships with key S&OR interfaces.
Standardisation
• Drive cross business standardisation across all platforms, individual OIMs, and from outside AGT, with specific focus in the following key areas:
• Evaluation and proposal of standard offshore Organisation
• Standard Operating Procedures
• OMS awareness and use.
• Platform budget control and invoice review process
Leadership
• Lead the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) Network.
• Technical Specialist for Offshore Catering and Services contracts
• Represent Offshore Operations in cross-Performance Unit Operations Forums.
• Provide limited Emergency Offshore OIM Cover where no Authorised OIM-B deputy is available.
• Act as Duty IC in Rostered IMT duty list
People
Develop succession plan for OTLs and OIMs
• Provide support and verification of developing OIMs and OTLs
• Develop strategy for providing Operations exposure for National staff
• Facilitation of managed moves of supervisors and techs, instigated by members of OIM network. Includes review and assessment of need to balance skills across the field.
Essential Education
• Engineering degree and/or extensive experience in oil and/or gas plant operations, together with a proven track record in a supervisory position (OIM experience). Demonstrated ability to effectively manage rapid organizational change while maintaining Operational integrities.
• Clear understanding of business drivers and the management of performance, risk and costs.
Essential experience and job requirements
• Proven ability to support an inclusive environment where diverse points of view are valued as essential.
• Able to utilize and maintain networks throughout AGT and with other Regions.
• Accomplished track record in people and HSE leadership. Demonstrated evidence of site Manager or OIM competencies.
• Demonstrated success working within diverse, cross-functional teams; highly competent in relationship management working with a diverse set of stakeholders including contractors.
• Azerbaijani citizenship is required.

Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Proven track record of strong Continuous Improvement skills. Recognized as a credible leader in operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the field and office as well as outside of the company are required. Able to utilize and maintain networks throughout BP and with other operators.

• Demonstrated evidence of site Manager or OIM competencies.
