Outlets Manager

What will I be doing?

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage all Food & Beverage Outlet operations
• Ensure high levels of communication are maintained between all outlets and other departments throughout the hotel
• Recruit, manage, train and develop the Food & beverage/Outlet Team
• Ensure compliance of brand standards
• Ensure cash handling procedures are followed at all times
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Liquor Costs and Payroll
• Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
• Develop menus with other members of F&B team
• Accountable for monthly stock takes
• Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue
• Carry out annual and mid-year appraisals with Managers under your responsibility
• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
• Awareness of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of Food & Beverage offered throughout the outlets
• Optimise sales and contain costs, identifying any areas for action
• Set achievable short- and long-term functional goals for each outlet
• Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
• Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Comply with security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Assist in ensuring all Outlets are well maintained and develop a maintenance program with in-house technicians and contractors
• Comply with local licensing laws
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
• Carry out any other work related task as requested by the Head of Department

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role you should be able to demonstrate the attitude, behaviours, skills and values that follow:

• Minimum of 5yrs previous experience in Food and Beverage management.
• Certified Food Handler
• Certified Beverage handler
• Organization, planning skills and the ability to prioritise
• Rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail
• Effective management skills (upwards and downwards) and the willingness to coach and train others
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Flexible schedule must be able to work Night and weekends.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
