The "European Azerbaijan School" Education Complex" LLC (EAS) is a private school authorized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The school is offering international programs for which it is fully authorized. These include the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) authorized in 2017, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) implemented in 2015 and the IB Diploma Program (DP) authorized in 2015. We are currently working to be authorized in 2020 with the Middle Years Program (MYP) to become an IB World School.

EAS is seeking experienced, dynamic and inspirational local teachers who have the ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students in a supportive and caring environment. Applicants must have a teaching degree that is recognized by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan.

Positions available commencing September 2020:

1. Early Learning Center (pre-school) Teachers

Requirements:

- Higher education in Early Childhood Development/Education or related field;
- At least 2 years of experience as a teacher in an early childhood classroom;
- Excellent knowledge of English (Cambridge equivalent C1);
- Strong knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum, assessment, management of children’s behavior, teaching and learning;
- Expertise in literacy, numeracy and transdisciplinary teaching and learning;
- Knowledge of International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Year Program (PYP);
- Ability to apply interactive teaching and learning methods;
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of team.

2. Primary Home-room Teachers

Requirements:

- Higher education in Primary Teaching/Education or equivalent (preferably a master degree);
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at a primary school (experience at an international school is desirable);
- Excellent knowledge of English (Cambridge equivalent C1or better);
- Previous experience working in an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, experience with Constructivist learning pedagogy or Inquiry Based-Primary Years Program (PYP) pedagogy;
- Knowledge and experience developing primary curriculum or creating PYP units is preferable;
- Comfortable proactively learning new technology and integrating technology into the classroom to increase learning;
- Ability to apply interactive teaching and learning methods;
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of team.

3. Secondary Subject Teachers (instruction being in English)
    (including delivery in, some or all of IB MYP, IGCSE, IB DP)

- Biology Teacher
- Physics Teacher
- Chemistry Teacher
- Physical Geography Teacher
- Mathematics Teacher
- History Teacher
- Economics Teacher
- Business Management and Enterprise
- Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
- Russian/German/Spanish Teachers
- Arts/Drama Teacher
- Physical Education Teacher
- Computer Science Teacher

Requirements:

- Higher education (preferably a master degree) in the related field;
- At least two years of teaching experience;
- Good knowledge of English (Cambridge equivalent C1 or better);
- Previous experience working in an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, experience with Constructivist learning pedagogy or Inquiry Based Learning (IBL);
- Strong experience teaching IB Curriculum;
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child;
- Ability to apply interactive teaching and learning methods.
- Excellent knowledge of computer office standard applications, especially familiarity with Google and G suite and integrating technology into the classroom to increase learning;
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of team.

CVs will be shortlisted based on a candidate’s work experience and meeting the requirements. Successful candidates will be tested for their subject knowledge and competency:

- Interviews;
- Subject, English language tests;
- A pedagogical essay;
- Demonstration lesson;
- Potential computer skills test.
