Job Title: “Mechanical Engineer

TWI in Azerbaijan is providing Inspection and NDT Services (3rd party Inspection), Consultancy services of Material, Corrosion Engineering, Research and Consultancy, Failure investigation, Structural Integrity assessment, Welding Engineering, Engineering Facilities (Procurement) WPS & PQR, WQT and international training & Certification (www.twi-global.com).

Responsibilities:

• Awareness for piping & pressure vessel design.
• Awareness for piping & pressure vessel material.
• Awareness for plant process/ oil refinery.
• To understand the mechanical demands of precision optomechanical packages and as part of a cross-functional project team to develop design concepts.
• To select manufacturing technologies and materials based on a sound understanding of the mechanical, thermal and mechanical integrity needs of the product, and to liaise with procurement and suppliers.
• Knowing well P&ID, Isometric, drawing.
• Knowing the material, fittings, pipes and equipment
• To detail the design of components, assemblies, jigs, and tools and administer aspects of the configuration control system related to these designs.
• Storage tanks project background – essential
• Maintain the required technical quality of work.
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures.
• Working knowledge of ASME and API codes
• Material Selection and Corrosion Control Design Specification.
• Knowing the corrosion calculation
• Prepare Materials and Corrosion Control deliverables for Onshore Projects.
• Material Selection, Corrosion Monitoring
• Metallic and Non-metallic materials selection for sour and sweet services application
• Developing Material Selection Diagrams
• Positive Material Identification (PMI)
• Family with NDT reports and reviewing them.
• Coordinate corrosion monitoring, data gathering and their subsequent use for inspection planning. Provide technical input to chemical inhibitor programs, boiler feed water, and cooling water treatment programs, and other chemical treatment programs.
• Familiar/ Working knowledge of API580/581, API579, API510, API570, API-653 ASME VIII D1, ASME II, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4 & 31.8.

Requirements:

• Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan
• Full time employee;
• 3 years and above of related experiences;
• Good command of English, Russian is an advantage
• Certifications or thorough knowledge of related industry codes & standards;
• Able to evaluate mechanical tests such as ground-fault, ground resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, load and other mechanical field tests during the execution of the works
• Ability to interpret single-line and/or schematic mechanical drawings as well as plans and specifications QA/QC of Mechanical works
• Basic design requirements, estimation, installation activities related to Mechanical works for construction of building and infrastructure projects
• Familiar with all the Mechanical Engineering methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables, tools and manpower allocations related to Mechanical works for building projects
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Management skills to lead a team of Mechanical Inspectors in the field of inspection and approvals of installed works
• FEED & Select Stage Experience
• Having the API (571, 580/581) certificate is a plus.
• Oil Refinery experience and knowledge of applicable degradation mechanisms is a Plus.
