Account Director (or Account Management Department Director)

Overview

Account Director is primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients.  As the senior point of contact for an agency’s customers, the Account Director also co-ordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. In short, Account Director ensures the smooth production of campaigns – from briefing designers and copywriters, to managing budgets and possibly a team of executives.

Job Description:

- Taking a lead in clients’ marketing and advertising strategies
- Leading a team to provide the utmost level of client service
- Liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
- Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
- Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts
- Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
- Using your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically
- Managing a team of junior account managers (selecting, developing, monitoring performance etc.)
- Managing project/work performance of accounts as well as creative team
- Analyzing, interpreting and presenting results of delivered projects
- Delivering ideas and final products to clients for review
- Financial administration
- Delivering presentations (internally within agency & externally with clients)

Skills & qualifications required:

• Significant experience in professional client relationship management - min 1 year
• A background in advertising, design or marketing - min 3-4 years
• The ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
• A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Effective team management capabilities
• A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
• Full awareness of creative processes and techniques – including digital platforms
• Ability to learn & develop continuously

Other requirements:

• High education
• Any degree discipline is acceptable, although preference is one of the below mentioned: social or behavioral science, business, management, marketing, public relations
• Fluent Azeri/ Russian; English – upper intermediate 
• Advanced PC user (Power Point, Excel, Word etc.)

Work conditions:

• Working hours: 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday (can also involve long hours to meet particular deadlines).
• Salary: 1800-2200 (dependent on seniority of the candidate)
• Bonuses are being applied twice per year based on pre-defined set of KPIs (employee are eligible for bonus scheme only after 6 months employment)
