JOB TITLE:  Logistics

REPORTS TO:  GM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for directing the overall Logistics and Warehousing operations to ensure cost targets are achieved through innovation and productivity;
• Establishes and enforces policies and procedures for maintaining high standards of logistics and warehousing operations including product quality, reliability and safe work practices;
• Develops, implements and maintains all Operations activities including reporting and monitoring performance, and initiating improvement strategies;
• Ensures that operations and logistics processes regarding deliver/install quality outputs to time, cost, and standards maintain or exceed customer requirements and Company strategy;
• Creates and manages a culture of continuous improvement through automated warehousing processes and systems;
• Measures and initiates process reviews to reduce damage and inventory losses;
• Conducts regular tours of all warehousing facilities, and store sites with appropriate supervisory staff for observation of work quality and reinforcement of job responsibilities;
• Mentors and trains immediate team, resulting in furthering management and leadership skills including the ability to identify and resolve production, performance and customer satisfaction issues;
• Develops and manages team to effectively achieve and exceed customer expectations through hiring, development, performance reviews, training and implementation of improved techniques for operational controls, quality, reliability and safety;

QUALIFICATIONS

A Chartered Professional from an International Institute is preferable or an MBA

EXPERIENCE 

4 years experience in Contracts Management, Material Supply Chain Management and Strategic Business Development Management;
Prior and current experience of fundamental inventory control procedure and management and knowledge in procurement rules and regulations and contract documents and specification;

KNOWLEDGE

Computer knowledge (Word, Power Point, Excel, Internet, E-mail………) and any other specialized inventory control software;
Knowledge in know-how of Critical strategic decision making and Cost reduction by maintaining effective control without sacrificing quality and delivery time.
Knowledge of retail operations and or FMCG, healthcare or fashion business  would be highly advantageous
