Role synopsis
The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is a key front line operations management position responsible for the business delivery, operational integrity and safety of an offshore asset. The OIM serves as a member of the Asset Leadership Team and is the primary point of communication with the onshore members of asset leadership. The role is to meet both immediate and relative longer-term demand in ACG area
Key accountabilities
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the offshore team in delivery of the asset performance targets for safety, production, costs and team development. Key elements of this include: HSE:
- Provide leadership on OMS, communicating and implementing BP and asset HSE policies and initiatives.
- Direct and control the platform emergency response requirements in the event of an emergency and for training purposes
- Act as a visible role model for offshore safety, maintaining and improving the installation safety culture
- Responsible for assurance that all offshore operations comply with BP internal policies & practices, safety case requirements and external legislation
- Ensure compliance with the environmental management assurance system
- Working with installation Safety Representatives to fulfil expectations of the Offshore Safety Case. People:
- Managing the personal development of direct and indirect reports
- Managing performance, competence, succession planning, training and reward for the offshore team
- Carry out all required people management tasks (eg salary admin) alongside directing, coaching and helping leaders and supervisors
- Communicate in an open, straightforward fashion. Operations:
- Setting of both short and medium term priorities for operational activities to deliver the agreed asset performance contract
- Managing implementation of work against the Integrated plan and performing as a gatekeeper for this, ensuring that priorities and quality of execution are being maintained
- Provide leadership in all elements of Operations Excellence, Compliance and Reliability
- Provide offshore leadership Production Efficiency Improvement (PEI)
- Provide offshore leadership of Continuous Improvement (CI) process
- Accountable for development and delivery of the offshore component of the asset operating budget
- Providing cost challenge to the on and offshore BRO's to ensure delivery of the annual operating budget
Essential Education
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or suitable operational management experience.
Essential experience and job requirements
-Strong HSSE leadership and personal commitment to safety excellence.
-Thorough understanding and experience of control of work systems for hydrocarbon facilities risk management.
-Commitment to developing a national workforce
-Detailed knowledge of operating procedures and practices.
-Detailed knowledge of integrity management systems.
-Extensive offshore operating experience including front-line operations and supervisory roles.
-Demonstrated competence in managing major incidents and emergencies.
-A team player with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate and work within a multi-cultural environment with strong negotiation and communication skills.
-The ability to integrate with other project and operations disciplines and to develop an excellent working relationship/communication with senior project and operations leadership.
-Ability to work needed rotational assignment.
-Azerbaijani citizenship is required.
