At the moment, Polyethylene and Steel Pipe Factory in the city of Sumgait carry out the construction of the project. The main activity of this plant, plastic and steel water pipes for oil and gas production, the panel will consist of the preparation of concrete structures. This project is currently purchased from foreign countries as a result of the implementation of large oil, gas and water pipes have already begun production.

The successful candidates should have:

•        Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in mettalurgy/engineering / welding technology
•        Very good knowledge of welding related requirements of ASME Sections ll, V, Vll, lX; ASME B.31.1; ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, API, B.S., etc
•        Qualified level ll or level lll in all NDT techniques per ASNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
•        CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

•        Should be experienced regarding to Industry and Production
•        Conducts research and development investigations to develop and test new welding processes and procedures.
•        Prepare/ Review/ Approve Inspection & Test Plans and QA/QC Procedures and monitor their application.
•        Must be fully aware of Welding and NDT Codes and Standards, including personnel and qualification procedures.
•        Planning duties within the QA/QC staff of sub-contractors and related work schedules.
•        Prepares WPS, PQR, welding / welders pre-qualification and hot-taps / mock-up activities / procedures.
•        Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure workers' compliance with established welding procedures, codes, and standards.
•        Review installation and testing method statements and assure the implementation.
•        Inspect and evaluate the quality of Welding consumables such as electrodes, filler wires, fluxes, saw-wire, shielding gases, etc.
•        Orginize quality audit for the manufacturing process
•        Prepare quality report for manufacturing process of  approved suppliers
•        Should possess coordination/ communication skills and very good knowledge of spoken and written English language
