Position Overview:

Proxima Tech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Administrator to design, implement, and manage our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and hardware installations. The candidate will also provide on-site or remote support to Proxima's clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technologies or related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience in network administration, with a minimum of 3 years designing and implementing network infrastructure in a complex data center environment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Experience in Cybersecurity and Cloud (Cisco WSA, ESA, ISE).
• Experience implementing and managing SD-WAN, SD-Access technologies.
• Strong knowledge in security fundamentals: secure transport (e.g., SSL, TLS), identity management (e.g., certificates, PKI).
• Solid understanding of network operating systems.
• Understanding of datacenter networking topologies and common Layer 2 and Layer 3 architectures.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, including IP services, LAN switching, routing, and security.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EGRP, VxLAN, GRE).
• Configuration management expertise with Cisco IOS and hardware; experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches.
• Ability to design, implement, and operate network technologies in mixed environments (on-premises to public cloud, e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Experience with the configuration and management of network firewalls (ASA, Firepower).
• Experience with Wireless infrastructure (Cisco WLC, Cisco AP, Ubiquiti, Red Line) implementation and configuration.
• Experience with VoIP infrastructure (CME, CUCM, IM&P UCCX, CUP, Tandberg, Webex) implementation and configuration.
• Experience with Virtual Private Networks and various protocols and implementations.
• Experienced in network security platforms, including segmentation, ACLs, DPI, DDoS protection, iptables, IPsec, VPN, IDS, firewall management platforms, switch ACLs, stateful firewalls, network segmentation, and security zones.
• Knowledge of Network Virtualization Concepts, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl).
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
• Professional networking certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP/CCDP) are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and solid problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills for new or existing technologies.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, firewalls, load balancers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
• Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
• Architect, create, manage, and maintain network, server, and PC health for clients (as defined by SLA).
• Manage existing and deploy new system configurations, including Windows Server.
• Provide on-site or remote support to Proxima's clients.
