Job Description

Technical

• Accounting Coordinator is primarily responsible for the accounting functions of the Caspian businesses both international and local reporting
• Compliance with Group financial policies, procedures and timetables
• Interfacing with the local authorities and auditors for the relevant reports, audits and issues
• Coordination of preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly tax, SPF, statistical and other statutory reports
• Involvement into the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans in line with Group instructions, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flows
• Timely and accurate calculation of payroll for the local and expatriate staff
• Ensure that all sales invoices are issued in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure timely collection of receivables
• Ensure that customers pay in accordance with contracted terms

People

• Monitor and advise on effective performance of the finance and accounting team
• Responsible for development of the finance and accounting team
• Contributing to the effectiveness of the finance and accounting team

Customers

• Building effective relationship with staff across all levels of the business
• Communicate and maintain good working relationship with all the stakeholders both internal and external
• Ensuring that all ASCO accounting requirements are met and all operational issues are addressed
• Maintain the image and reputation of the company in all business dealings

Other

• Ensure all discrepancies identified by the clients and other stakeholders are corrected in timely and due manner
• Ensure all discrepancies identified by the finance and accounting team are corrected by suppliers
• Continuous review of department procedures to ensure best practice is followed and improvement identified
• Prompt implementation of department procedures once approved by management

HSEQ

• Interface with HSEQ to ensure that all HSEQ requirements are met and any internal changes approved by management is communicated effectively to the relevant stakeholders
• Monitoring and prevention unsafe situations
• Participate in HSEQ meetings conducted and follow the actions raised
• Constantly look for and act in the ways that reduce health and safety risks, and the environmental, social, and security impact of work scope and initiate improvements

Essential Skills
 
• 3 to 5 years of progressive years of experience in local and international accounting
• Thorough understanding the local laws and company financial and accounting policies
• Good command of English, Azeri and Russian
• Excellent computer skills, knowledge of 1C.
• Ability to accurately handle paperwork and documentation
• Ability to coordinate and supervise the work force team
• Leadership and mentorship skills

Desired Skills
