HSE Manager

A Shipbuilding Company is looking for HSE Manager. Salary is negotiable and depends on candidate’s experience.

Key requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree;
• Ability to define problem areas, collect, interprets and evaluates complex technical data and draw valid conclusions;
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, associates and regulatory agencies;
• Previous HSE Manager/Officer experience with established Management skills and HSE qualifications;
• At least 3 (three) years direct working experience as HSE Manager (preferable in the offshore industry);
• Preferably, possess HSE certificates in marine industry;
• Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with vendors and representatives of government agencies;
• Ability to communicate and express information in written and oral form in Azeri and English;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Coaching & Communication skills
• Computer skills: MS Office, especially PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

Develop the Health, Safety and Environmental management system to meet with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001;
Develop and maintain all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System of the company to be compliant with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards, including corrective and preventative measures;
Assist with the implementation of Job Safety Analysis, Safe Systems of Work and inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situation;
To hold weekly and monthly HSE meetings;
Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in any emergency, also to record such drills, providing recommendations for emergency response improvements;
Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced;
Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;
Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
Leading in­house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
Maintain records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements; Maintain records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers;
Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the Produce a Monthly report for Management.
